Access and participation

Accessibility & Service Information

Clarvia aims to make information and appointments easier to access and welcomes early conversations about communication preferences and reasonable adjustments.

Online appointments

Sessions are predominantly delivered online through Google Meet. You will generally need a reliable internet connection, a compatible device with audio, and a private location where you feel able to speak safely. If video is difficult or another communication adjustment may help, please ask before booking so suitability can be considered.

Selected Melbourne mobile appointments

Selected mobile appointments may be available in Melbourne by arrangement. Availability depends on location, scheduling, safety, accessibility needs, service suitability and the agreed purpose of the appointment. A mobile visit is not guaranteed.

Communication preferences and reasonable adjustments

You are welcome to tell Clarvia about communication preferences or access needs. Possible adjustments may include slower pacing, clear written follow-up, breaks, reduced use of jargon, support with online joining instructions or consideration of another appropriate format.

Clarvia will discuss what can reasonably and safely be provided within current systems, competence and service capacity. If an adjustment cannot be provided, this will be explained and another pathway may be suggested where possible.

Website accessibility

The website has been designed with semantic headings, keyboard-accessible navigation, visible focus indicators, descriptive link text, image alternatives, responsive layouts and reduced-motion support. Clarvia welcomes reports of barriers.

Service limitations

  • Clarvia is not a crisis or emergency service.
  • It does not provide inpatient, detoxification or medically supervised withdrawal services.
  • It cannot guarantee that every communication, mobility, sensory, cognitive or clinical access need can be met.
  • Online delivery may be unsuitable where privacy, technology, location, risk or clinical needs cannot be managed appropriately.
  • Clarvia may recommend a different provider when another service is better equipped to meet a person's needs.
